The National Testing Agency has announced JEE Main paper 2 result 2021 for session 4 exam on Ocotber 5. Candidates can check their result from the direct link provided below. JEE Main 2021 paper 2 result can also be checked from the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates need to login using their application number and date of birth to check the score card.

JEE Main paper 2 answer key 2021 was released on September 28. Challenges against the answer key was open till September 29. NTA conducted JEE Main 2021 Paper 2 exam on September  2 across various cities of India and abroad. This year NTA conducted JEE Main four times but Paper 2 was held in only two attempts, the first was held in February and the second in August. JEE Main 2021 Paper 2 result and answer key for the session 4 exam is expected to be out anytime soon.

JEE Main Paper 2 Registration 2021

The registration for JEE Main 2021 paper 2 for session 4 has been closed. The NTA released the application form for JEE Main 2021 Paper 2 on July 9. The final date to submit the same was July 12. The application process was reopened on August 9 till August 12. The application process involves registration, filling the application form, uploading the images, payment of fees, preview and submission of the applications. The application correction window will be available on the official website for candidates who want to edit/correct details in the filled-in application form of JEE Main 2021.

JEE Main Paper 2 Admit Card 2021

The NTA has released JEE Main 2021 Paper 2 admit card on August 21 in online mode on the official website. JEE Main admit card is issued to all the candidates who have registered successfully for the exam. The admit card is an important document that must be carried to the examination hall. Candidates who do not carry their admit card will not be allowed to appear for the entrance examination. Along with the admit card, candidates must also carry identity proof.

The conducting authority, NTA, releasex JEE Main Paper 2 question papers and answer key on Sseptember 28. Candidates can download the JEE Main papers available in a pdf format and download their response sheets along with the questions. JEE Main 2021 Paper 2 Answer Key

The provisional answer keys of JEE Main Paper 2 was released by NTA on September 28. Candidates can match their answers and calculate their probable scores. Candidates can download JEE Main 2021 Paper 2 answer keys in pdf format by entering their login credentials. Through JEE Main answer key candidates can match their correct and incorrect responses and calculate their probable scores to be secured in the examination.

JEE Main 2021 Paper 2 Result

The NTA declared JEE Main paper 2 result on October 5 on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. The result of JEE Main 2021 paper 2 has been compiled based on the final answer keys released by the NTA. Evaluation of multiple-choice questions of BArch paper was carried out using final JEE Main answer keys and the actual marks obtained by candidates has been considered while preparing the JEE Main results. For multi-shift papers, raw marks obtained by the candidates in different shifts/sessions will be converted to NTA 2021 scores.

JEE Main 2021 Paper 2 Cutoff

The cutoff scores of JEE Main 2021 are of two types – qualifying cutoff marks and admission cutoff marks. The NTA  will release the qualifying JEE Main cutoff marks for all the three papers. JoSAA will release the admission cutoff (opening and closing ranks) marks after the declaration of the result. The factors that determine JEE Main 2021 BArch cutoff are:

  • Total number of applications received for a particular programme
  • Number of aspirants appearing for JEE Main Paper 2
  • The difficulty level of the exam
  • Total number of seats available
  • The category under which admission is sought

JEE Main 2021 Counselling

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct the counselling process of JEE Main 2021 for admission to NITs, IIITs, GFTIs. The counselling will be held in online mode only for seven round including two mock seat allotments.

JEE Main 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

Below are some of the important items that the candidates should or should not carry to the JEE Main 2021 test centre. Also given are the documents that the candidates must bring to the examination centre without which they will not be allowed to appear in the exam.

What to carry on exam day?

The test-takers will be provided with a sheet for any rough work they do.

  • Passport-size photo
  • Photo ID
  • Sanitizer
  • Transparent Water Bottle
  • Certificates: PWD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming relaxation under PwD category.

What not to carry on exam day?

  • JEE Main 2021 aspirants will not be allowed to carry watches, calculators, jewellery, bags, purses, phones etc. These are strictly prohibited at any of the JEE Main 2021 exam centres.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall without the permission of the centre superintendent or the invigilator concerned.
  • No candidate will be allowed to carry any eatables, tea or coffee into the examination room during exam hours.
  • Smoking and eating are strictly prohibited in the examination room.
  • Diabetic students will be allowed to carry eatables like sugar tablets/fruits and transparent water bottle. However, they will not be allowed to carry any packed foods like candy/chocolates/sandwiches.

JEE Main 2021 Participating Institutes

JEE Main participating institutes are those which select students through a joint seat allocation process (JoSAA). JEE Main participating colleges include a total of 107 technical institutes including 31 National Institutes of Technology (NITs), 25 Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and 28 Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs).

JEE Main 2021 Eligibility Criteria for BArch

JEE Main eligibility criteria require candidates to fulfil multiple aspects to become eligible to appear for this national level engineering entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2021 candidates is as follows:

The eligibility criteria decided by the Council of Architecture for admission to B.Arch. course other than NITs, IIITs, CFTIs: "No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination".

Number of attempts allowed in JEE Main - A candidate is allowed to attempt the exam for three consecutive years. From 2021, JEE Main exam will be held four times a year – February, March, April and May. Thus, the number of attempts will be twelve in total – four times each year for 3 years.

In case an aspirant wants to take more attempts then he or she has to appear for JEE Main consecutively (back to back) in three years. Which means one cannot take a gap year in the attempt.

Requirements ofAadhaar card and other documents

  • Aadhaar card number (not mandatory)
  • Class 10 certificate
  • Class 12 mark sheet

Qualifying marks

  • Aspirants require is 75 per cent (aggregate) OR
  • They should be in the top 20 percentile in the Class 12 exam conducted by respective Boards.
  • For reserved candidates, the minimum qualifying marks is 65 per cent.

Q. I have scored 95.4% in JEE Paper 2. Can I get a seat in LPU?

A. As per eligibility, of course, a candidate must have 60% aggregate marks in Diploma or +2 (with PCM) and must qualify NATA or JEE Paper 2 with 80% and above.

Q. What is a good percentile in JEE Mains Paper 2?

A. If we talk about a percentage required by general category student to get admission through JEE Main Paper 2 for architecture and planning, then they will need to have a minimum of 98 percentile and above.

Q. Why I need to appear for the JEE Mains Paper 2?

A. If a candidate wants to take admissions to the 5 years undergraduate BArch or BPlanning courses at the NIT's and the centrally funded institutes then you are required to appear JEE Main Paper 2.

Q. What should I choose BArch or BTech?

A. BArch is a bachelor degree in architectural science and BTech is a bachelor degree in engineering. You can choose either of them according to your area of interest.

Q. Is BArch tough course to study?

A. Practically, no course/degree is easy or tough, it totally depends on the student's ability and performance. Everyone believes their course to be the toughest! However, architecture frankly is a very difficult course if you're not interested in it.

Q. Do BArch candidates get good placements options?

A. 'Generally' there are no placements in BArch, but that does not mean that architects are jobless. They have plenty of options to earn as assistant architect in reputed firms to start their work or they can open their own firm in any city.

Q. Can I choose BArch as a good career option?

A. BArch is definitely a good course and has great career opportunities if you can do this course from the top colleges of India after clearing JEE Main or NATA. After completing this course you will get a chance to get jobs in abroad as well.
